A DELIVERY driver’s van full of parcels was stolen by two men in Childer Thornton.

At about 11.30am on Tuesday, January 24, a driver for a freight company was making a delivery to an address in Woodland View.

While he was out of his van, a plain white Mercedes Sprinter bearing the registration KN61 ZYT, was taken and driven away,

There were a number of parcels on the van bound for addresses across Cheshire and the Wirral.

The driver, a 56-year-old man from Chester, sustained no injuries during the theft.

Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “Police are exploring a number of lines of enquiry including the sighting of a blue Ford Mondeo parked on the A41 at its junction with New Road at the time of the incident. The same car was seen to leave the area at the same time as the stolen van.”

One of the men was of Asian appearance, aged between 18-25 years, clean shaven and dressed in a navy blue Adidas sweater and blue jeans.

The second man, seen in the blue Mondeo, was white, with a very heavy build, aged in his early 40s and unshaven with black/greying hair.

He was dressed in a hooded grey and black coat, black ill-fitting tracksuit bottoms, and dirty white trainers. He is described as having a noticeable paunch.
