The University Church of England Academy is an inclusive school for 11-to- 18 year olds at the heart of the community.

Their Christian ethos is evident in everything they do and stand for, and they have high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance from everyone in the Academy.

Their aim is that all staff and students will have every chance to realise their full potential and enjoy their time with us.

"We are creating a first-class Academy with a broad, innovative curriculum designed to help students achieve to their highest abilities - personally and academically," said Kevin McDermott, Principal.

"Our specialisms of Maths and Sport with Performance will give our students the confidence, skills and ambition to move on to further and higher education and employment. They will be encouraged to work to the best of their ability so they can take full advantage of the wide range of curricular and enrichment activities offered to them. To this end, we will provide the very best personal support and guidance.

"Our Academy will be a Centre of Excellence and, to help us achieve this, we intend to work in close partnership with parents and carers. This will ensure that your child receives all the support and encouragement they need for academic and personal success at school and at home.

"As well as providing the very best educational opportunities, the Academy will play a key part in the regeneration of Ellesmere Port, raising standards through innovative approaches to management, governance, teaching and the curriculum. It will be coeducational, driven by an ethos of diversity, challenge and achievement.

"We are excited at the prospect of what this Academy will achieve and look forward to working closely with you to provide a world-class education."
