Seven-year-old Robyn Hearn  and 11 of her school friends went on a free trip on the Malpas Shuttle Bus to Delamere Forest – which was her  prize for winning a poster competition.

Robyn’s winning poster of the Malpas Shuttle Bus is now on  display in the village and the prize  involved children from Tushingham-with-Grindley Church  of England Primary School taken by bus, to a shelter building course.

The idea for the poster competition came from Malpas councillor Ann  Wright who said: “It is great to see the bus being used by the young  people.

“As a community we must make  use of the shuttle bus which is available for everyone to use, regardless of their age or ability.”

Headteacher Kath Shephard added:  “The children had a fantastic day and in the forest made shelters and toasted marshmallows around a camp fire.

“Here at Tushingham school we are delighted to help promote the Malpas Shuttle Bus.”
