Taylor Wimpey North West spent the weekend enjoying the great outdoors supporting the Tarvin Community Woodland Trust Celebration Walk.

The event, sponsored by the homebuilder, commemorated the public handover of the ribbon of land, footpath and planting, which will eventually become a woodland between Taylor Wimpey’s finished Saxon Heath development and the A51 at Austins Hill.

The 2.75km walk took ramblers and residents alike around the whole of Tarvin’s woodland, before receiving prizes, sponsored by ActiveCheshire, and picnic refreshments courtesy of Taylor Wimpey.

Secretary to Tarvin Community Woodland Trust Charles Bradley said: “Our objective for the event was to get the whole community to take part and celebrate this marvellous addition to our woodland.

“Thanks to the generosity of Taylor Wimpey, we were able to provide all those taking part with a really super picnic – so a big thank you to the homebuilder for its support.”

Sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West Stuart Craig added: “It was a pleasure to be invited to speak at the celebrations on Saturday and officially hand over the land to the trust.

“The day was a great success and it was lovely to get the opportunity to talk about the journey we’ve made getting the development, and surrounding green areas, finished to this point and we’re thrilled to have immersed ourselves in the local community of Tarvin over the years.”
