YOUNG artists at two Ellesmere Port schools have won prizes in a poster designing competition.
Students from University CE Academy and the Catholic High School took part in the Lions International Peace Poster Competition, open to pupils aged 11-13.
Entrants were required to create a design based on the theme ‘Children Know Peace’. Members of Ellesmere Port Lions Club visited each school to hand out certificates.
The winning local entry will be submitted to district and national competitions, with the winner entered into the Lions World International Competition, judged at the United Nations building in New York.
