St Werburgh’s and St Columba’s Catholic Primary School named the day Food Bank Friday and held a dress down day in school.

The day was organised by the school’s Mini Vinnies group. In return for coming to school in their own clothes children were asked to bring in an item of food for our food bank collection.

The food was collected the same day by West Cheshire Foodbank. They took all the food back to the depot and weighed it all. In total the school provided 302kg of food. All staff and children are very proud of our achievement.
