Pamplona, city of the bull runs, was the setting for the only primary school foreign exchange visit in Ellesmere Port.

Pupils from St Mary of the Angels, Little Sutton, stayed with exchange partners in Northern Spain, for a week.

Cultural activities took place each day; and pupils enjoyed a unique taste of the real Spain, with their partner families.

An exciting day at the beach of San Sebastian was a real highlight for pupils.

Headteacher Rob Hughes said: “This visit gave our Year 6 pupils a chance to practise their Spanish, and to become immersed in another culture. We are delighted it will be a unique annual event in our school.”

The school is looking forward to welcoming more Spanish Year 6 students to Ellesmere Port in October this year.
