CHRISTMAS will descend on Neston with sparkle and delights not to be missed.

Neston Christmas Festival Week runs from November 30 to December 7 and will bulge with events every day to welcome the community and visitors to the area.

For the first time, Neston and District Chamber of Trade has joined forces with voluntary community group CH64inc, the Rotary club, Neston Parish Church, Project Rural Matters and the community website AboutMyArea.co.uk/CH64 for a series of events under one festive umbrella.

The first Friday in December has traditionally seen the Rotary Club organising activities around the turning on the town’s Christmas lights.

But this year there will be a lantern procession and Christmas sing-along to the Port Sunlight Brass Band in the parish church on Wednesday, December 3, leaving the Friday free for a late-night shopping event.

Shops will be open until 9pm and arts and gifts stalls will be set up in the town hall.

To add to the festive fun, there will be an exciting, free-to-enter Treasure Trail competition, for all the family to enjoy, with a Nintendo Wii up for grabs.
