MEMBERS of the Princes Trust Team have refurbished Little Sutton Community Centre.

Volunteers chose the centre before selecting the colour scheme they would use and painting the exterior walls, outside library, lampposts, benches and front gates.

Ellesmere Port mayor Angela Claydon arrived at Little Sutton Community Centre, Chester Road, to congratulate the volunteers for their work.

Natasha Wilson, the community centre supervisor, says everyone who uses the centre are happy with the results.

She said: “Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service works with the Prince’s Trust doing three projects a year with 10-20 young people to give them life skills.

“The young people chose the project they wanted to do.

“It had looked very rundown. We’ve got a diminished staff and haven’t got the time or the funds to supply paint or the workers.

“It looks so much more inviting now.”

Cllr Claydon and consort Cllr Ben Powell joined the members of the Princes Trust who helped to renovate the exterior and grounds at a ceremony to unveil their work last week.
