RUDHEATH Primary School has featured on ITV Granada Reports after winning a £50,000 National Lottery grant.

The school was one of eight projects shortlisted for a share of the People’s Millions Fund. Earlier this month staff appealed for help from members of the public, who were asked to vote for what they deemed the worthiest cause.

And the appeal paid off!

The £50,000 will be spent on brand new facilities including an outdoor stage, outdoor classroom, picnic tables and sports and play equipment.

Deputy headteacher Simon Kinder said: “It’s brilliant, there is a real positive feel-good factor spread all over the school and the local area.

“Everybody has pulled together on this project and it is great for everybody, not just at the school but for Rudheath and the whole community.”
