ROADWORKS mean a reduced speed limit will be in force on the A5117.

The works are planned in Little Stanney and Cheshire West and Chester Council says a temporary 30mph speed limit will apply from Friday (July 29).

The restriction is proposed on the Shotwick-Frodsham road between junction 10 of the M53 and the junction with Rake Lane to allow junction reconstruction work to be carried out.

An order will also come into force on the same date prohibiting traffic on Kinsey Road from turning right onto the A5117. The diversion involves traffic travelling to the M53 junction 10 roundabout.

The council says it is anticipated the work will take two months to complete.

An order is due to come into force on Monday August 1 to enable carriageway resurfacing in two stages on the A5117 between Kinsey Road and Rake Lane and on Kinsey Road from the junction with the A5117 to the junction with Sainsbury's roundabout.

The council says this work is also expected to take about two months to complete.

During the resurfacing on the A5117, traffic should use Kinsey Road and Longlooms Road

The diversion to allow the resurfacing of Kinsey Road will involve Kinsey Road, Longlooms Road and the A5117.
