THE Lord Mayor of Ellesmere Port’s twin town in Germany, will be visiting Ellesmere Port as a guest of the Mayor Angela Claydon.

Barbara Bosch will head a small delegation from Reutlingen for the visit, which takes place from April 29-May 1.

Accompanying her will be Mayor for Culture Robert Hahn, and civic secretary Petra Bannasch.

While in Ellesmere Port, Frau Bosch will be taking part in a series of meetings, with business representatives and members of the Ellesmere Port Development Board at Vauxhall, headteachers and staff at West Cheshire College, members and officers of Cheshire West and Chester Council, and an informal get together at the National Waterways Museum with the groups and organisations who take part in twinning activities.

The Sea Cadets will host a formal welcome dinner at their training centre, TS Forward.

The Lord Mayor particularly wants to encourage exchanges for work experience for young people.
