The Queens School, Chester, is a vibrant and positive place to learn and grow for girls aged four to 18.

Founded in 1878 and renamed by Queen Victoria in 1882, at Queens they combine the traditions of a thoughtful, rigorous and disciplined education with modern teaching styles, facilities and equipment to create a positive, inclusive and exciting atmosphere for learning in the 21 st century.

They may have an enviable reputation for students academic success, as they achieve both excellent public examination results and top university offers, but pastoral care lies at the heart of the educational experience at the school.

Queens girls are happy and positive, engaging and articulate.

Academically they question and challenge, explore and innovate; there are no gender stereotypes! Staff have expertise in the teaching of girls and their community is an encouraging and supportive one.

They have a full extra-curricular programme including a wide variety of sports and adventurous activities. In addition, music and the arts flourish in an atmosphere that encourages self-expression and confidence.

The Queen's School hold a number of open days during the year but visitors are welcome at any time by appointment; please telephone Admissions Officer Mrs Jane Taylor to arrange a tour on 01244 312478.
