A SCHEME will ensure schoolchildren are safer on the roads.
Acton Park Junior School, Wrexham, was chosen as the first in the county borough to appoint a junior road safety officer.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Wrexham David and Jackie Rogers inaugurated the first junior road safety officer, Cain Rees Edwards, and his deputy, Shaun Carter into their roles. A prize was also awarded to Chloe Huxley, the pupil who designed the Junior Road Safety sash which will be used throughout the county borough.
