Bunny and bonnets make Easter fun

Port Arcades Shopping Centre celebrate Easter

Children enjoy designing their own Easter bonnets in the Port Arcades Shopping Centre

Easter Saturday at the Port Arcades Shopping Centre was all about free fun, bonnets and chocolate, as well as a special visitor.

Excited children enjoyed having their pictures taken with the Easter bunny.

Hundreds of children and their families joined the centre’s annual egg hunt, searching high and low in shop window displays to find hidden eggs, with face painting and glitter tattoos adding to the fun of the day.

The centre’s Easter bonnet making workshop saw children designing and making their own creative Easter bonnets before entering one of three parades held during the course of the day.

The lucky winners all received Easter eggs, or a play tent donated by Poundstretcher in the centre.

The winners were Louise Tilling, Sian Byrne, Scarlett and Taylor Martin, Katie Flana, Ruby and Lilly Wholey, Kye Roberts, Leah Challoner and Amy-Lou Astbury.

Michelle Pickstock, from the Port Arcades Shopping Centre, said: “We love the fun and excitement of Easter each year here in the centre.”
