Three regulars and the landlady from the Peacock pub in Boughton are taking on a massive fundraising challenge to raise money for CHICS (Children’s Cancer Support Group) & Down’s Syndrome Association.
Mike Reynolds, Karl Roberts, Shaun Bebbington and pub manageress, Polly Emmens, will be attempting the Three Peaks Challenge and are hoping to complete the climb of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon one after the other in roughly 24 hours.
The date of the challenge is Saturday, July 5.
To support the event, the team is also holding a World Cup fundraising party at the pub this Saturday.
There will be entertainment, prize raffle and lots going on. There is also a collection bottle behind the bar for anyone who would like to donate.
