ECO-FRIENDLY youngsters at a Little Sutton primary school have been bagging up their bedding, clothes and old soft toys to raise school funds.

Junior recycling officers at Parklands Community Primary School also called upon fellow pupils to bring in odd shoes, carpets and rugs.

The unwanted items were weighed and sorted for reuse or recycling, before being shipped off by the Bag2School scheme.

The free initiative specialises in collecting unwanted textiles to be sold to export markets worldwide, in return for a contribution to school or community organisation funds.
