POLICE in Neston are reaching out to the rural community by taking their station on the road.

Neston Neighbourhood Policing Team is running a mobile police station later this month to encourage village residents to report crime, meet their officers and give them their views.

Sgt Henry Platten said: “Having the mobile police station will give local officers a base to work from while in the community.

“It will also give residents who might not be able to get to their nearest police station a place to come and speak directly to the officers responsible for policing their neighbourhoods.

“The officers will offer advice on community safety and crime prevention, as well as gathering any information residents can provide to help us improve policing in their area.

“The mobile police station will be run on an informal 'drop-in' basis, but appointments will be available to people who wish to book a specific time by emailing or calling us.”

The mobile police station will be at the following locations:

Willaston Royal British Legion Club today (Wednesday) from 9am2pm.

Ness Gardens on Tuesday, January 26, from 9am-2pm.

Neston Cricket Club on Wednesday, January 27, from 9am-2pm.
