CONCERNS were raised about construction traffic in a cul-de-sac when plans were put forward for extensions to a bungalow.

The single-storey extensions were proposed at the front and rear of 10 Holt Hey, Ness, by Mr McCabe.

Neston Town Council and neighbours had no objections to the new- build but raised concerns the turning head in the road should not be obstructed during construction work.

Planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council said they had passed the comments to Mr McCabe although they were not a planning matter.

Mr McCabe had also included a new window in the side of the house but this did not require approval.

Neighbours had requested this should be obscure-glazed to protect privacy, as had been proposed by Mr McCabe.

Planners suggested the extensions would respect the character of the property and its setting. The development would not lead to any unacceptable overshadowing, loss of outlook or loss of privacy for nearby occupiers.

The application was recommended for approval on the basis the new-build would be in keeping and would not be unacceptably detrimental to neighbours.

The borough council agreed Mr McCabe’s application could have permission.
