THE National Waterways Museum will showcase real ales with canal and waterways connections when it hosts a beer festival.

The event will run from Friday to Sunday, October 7-9.

Visitors to the afternoon sessions will also receive museum admission and visitors to the Friday and Saturday evening sessions will be entertained by live music from 7.30pm.

Ellesmere Port folk group The Marrobones will perform on Friday and Tom And Gren and Trim Rig And A Doxy on Saturday.

Tickets are available from the museum for £12 – this includes admission, two pints of ale or cider, a commemorative glass and a programme. Discounted tickets, at £10, are available to CAMRA members and groups of six or more who book at the same time.
