THE trial of two men accused of kidnapping and murdering Anthony and Linda O'Malley is due to go ahead in Spain next spring.

It comes three years after the bodies of the O'Malleys were found buried beneath the floor of a cellar at a villa inland from Benidorm.

Mr O'Malley, 42, a car dealer from Widnes, and his Liverpool-born wife, 55, who managed the Ellesmere Port branch of TJ Hughes, disappeared from the Costa Blanca resort in September 2002.

Venezuelans Jorge Real Sierra and Juan Antonio Valazquez Gonzalez were arrested in March 2003 after they were stopped by police in the car the O'Malleys had hired.
