VARIOUS skills were used when pupils of Barnton Primary School were encouraged to build on a history project about the Tudors.

The children looked at various aspects of life in Tudor times and, inspired by some beautiful examples of buildings from the period dotted around the county, they decided to see if they could construct one for themselves in miniature.

Between them they managed to construct an entire Tudor village which is now proudly on show in their school classroom.

Also on display at the school are examples of 3D sculpture created by the children during a multi- cultural arts week with visiting artist Julie Mitchell. The work is on show in the school hall.
