HUGE rush-hour delays are affecting traffic on the M56 in Cheshire this morning following a mobile crane fire.
The crane fire was reported just after 6am today (Monday) around Junction 16, near the Hapsford services area.
Police stopped traffic while fire crews tackled the blaze, which saw smoke billowing across the carriageway.
At just after 8am a Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman said the disruption was continuing to affect traffic on the motorway.
