Miles of Smiles charity receives £1,000 donation

THERE were smiles all round when a Pioneer-backed charity received a cheque for more than £1,000.

The money for Miles of Smiles was raised through a prize draw and donations at the Trinity Mirror Cheshire Business Awards presentation evening held at Chester’s Queen Hotel.

Miles of Smiles treasurer Gary Horton, who works in the Pioneer’s planning and pagination department, said: “It’s a wonderful donation. We are organising another trip for September and this will help us pay for a child and a carer. ”

The charity takes local disabled, seriously ill or disadvantaged children to Disneyland Paris.
