Mid Cheshire College is now recognised as one of the best-performing colleges in the country.
Towards the end of 2008 Ofsted conducted a major inspection of the College and judged us to be an “outstanding” institution. Indeed, we were one of only a handful of colleges to receive Grade 1s across the board in every category of inspection. It’s fair to say that students at Mid Cheshire College achieve well. Our success rates are in the top 10% of the sector and our National Diploma results place us towards the very top of the national Performance Tables.
The College’s national reputation was further enhanced in 2009 when we were awarded Beacon College status by the Government, the highest accolade in the learning and skills sector.
The past few years have also witnessed a major investment in the facilities we offer to students and staff. In October 2008 we officially opened our new Arts & Creative Media centre at the Hartford campus and, in September 2010, we opened the doors of our new £9.6m campus in Winsford. The next two years will also see further investment at Hartford, with the construction of a new Centre for the Performing Arts and a new four-court Sports Centre. This major investment shows the College is committed to provide opportunities for education and training to enable people in all walks of life to achieve their ambitions.
The College is one of the largest providers of specialist vocational learning in the area, with campuses in Hartford, Northwich and Winsford. The College’s extensive range of full and part-time courses cover a wide range of subject areas from foundation to degree level.
Mid Cheshire College has a very bright future and will continue to be one of the best further education colleges in the country for many years to come.
