A COMMUNITY garden has had a green-fingered revamp thanks to Prince’s Trust volunteers.

The outside space at Stanney Grange Community Centre, Alnwick Drive, Ellesmere Port, has been redesigned and was officially opened by Ellesmere Port mayor Angela Claydon.

The committee-run centre is the base for groups including line dancing, fitness, adult learning and a youth club.

Committee organiser Joan Evans said: “The garden needed to be more user-friendly, so when the Prince’s Trust approached us looking for a project we were thrilled.

“The garden looks wonderful, with a pagoda and seating area as well as raised beds to enable wheelchair users to get the most out of the garden.”
