A CAR landed upside down in a hedge after leaving the road in heavy snow in Little Neston.

Roads were closed after the incident at 11.07am in Lees Lane on Friday, December 16.

One fire engine from Ellesmere Port and one from Heswall attended along with Cheshire police and the North West Ambulance Service.

On arrival they found the Citroen Xsara on its roof with the male driver still in the car.

Casualty care was administered by the firefighters until the arrival of the ambulance crew, which took him to Arrowe Park Hospital.

Temporary road closures were put in place on Hinderton Road from Hinderton lights to Two Mills and Lees Lane was closed at Bendee Avenue.

The closures were lifted at 12.40pm after the car was taken away.
