A WHEEL clamper from Chester had his arm broken by a “disgruntled motorist” who then escaped in a white van.

Cheshire police have appealed for information about the assault in which an attacker struck the vehicle clamper with a wheel clamp.

The attack happened at around 1.20pm on Crook Street, in the city centre, on Monday, June 4.

A police spokesman said two men were clamping vehicles when the “disgruntled vehicle owner who had earlier had his vehicle clamped” approached the pair.

The spokesman said: “An altercation took place during which the offender struck the victim with a part of a wheel clamp.”
