LOUISE WOODWARD, the former nanny convicted of shaking a baby to death, has quit her job as a solicitor to teach salsa dancing.

Ms Woodward, 27, from Cheshire, qualified as a solicitor after she was found guilty of murdering eight-month-old Mathew Eappen in the US, in 1997.

She was freed after an appeal judge reduced the conviction to involuntary manslaughter.

Family members and people from her home village of Elton staged a campaign to have her freed.

Ms Woodward said: "I hope people don't think I'm fickle or flighty. The truth is that I still love law but I love dancing more." In 1998,, she started work in Liverpool as an unpaid secretary for a law firm and later joined a small commercial firm in Oldham.
