Ladies donate hair to help children with cancer
A Chester salon has raised £500 for a charity which provides real hair wigs for children suffering from hair loss.
C & Co Hair Studio on Dicksons Drive held a coffee morning and raffle in aid of the Little Princess Trust, on Thursday October 10, during which four women and one little girl each donated seven inches of their hair to be made into wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
The ladies who volunteered for their hair to be cut were then treated to a well-deserved makeover.
Owner Celia Curry said: “We only organised it within a week. My friend Elaine mentioned that she was growing her daughter’s hair for charity and then I decided to ask on Facebook if anyone else wanted to be involved and four ladies volunteered.
“To get that many people in a week was overwhelming."
“I think we will be doing it every year. Two girls are already on board.”
