WREXHAM new-boy Chris Llewellyn aims to make an early impression on fans who hope he can fill the boots of departed Racecourse striker Andy Morrell.
The 23-year-old former Norwich City starlet is coming to the end of his first week's training with his new team-mates and said he cannot wait for the first taste of competitive action.
'It's been a good week and all the lads have made me feel very welcome,' said the Swansea-born player. 'I'm getting to know everyone and we had a 30-minute practice match yesterday, which let me see how the other lads play and how to fit in with them.
'But it's going to take a bit of time, so the more pre-season games we have, the quicker I will become familiar with them and them with me.'
Together with fellow newcomer Chris Armstrong, Llewellyn has been signed by Dragons manager Denis Smith to make up for the loss of last season's first-choice pairing of Morrell and Trundle.
And although he is confident in his own ability, Llewellyn is hoping supporters will be patient.
