LECTURERS at Halton College have taken industrial action in their battle for improved pay increases.
Members of the NATFHE union are calling for parity with teachers who, they say, can earn 10% more.
And they are prepared to let their feet do the talking by staging strikes.
This week some of the lecturers were on the outside looking in at the Kingsway college as they took to the street in a bid to close the growing pay gap.
The lecturers have made it clear they have no axe to grind with teachers, but argue their claim is totally justified and, if met, will prove beneficial to all parties.
