Adactus Housing Association provided funding for coach hire to attend three day trips for senior citizens in Neston.

It gave them the opportunity to meet other people and make friends and enjoy some community spirit.

The Teapot Club run a drop in session every Monday and Wednesday.

Everyone attending makes a small donation which subsidises trips for the group.

The group is run by local volunteers.

The benefits of these days are friendships, chat, getting help and advice on benefits.

This is run entirely as a voluntary project by local people.

Val Hobson, who attends the Teapot Club, said: “The venue, Tudor Rose, did us well. An excellent atmosphere and a most enjoyable meal.”

Samana Afzal from Adactus Housing said: “The group provides friendship, chat, help and advice, it is great that the Teapot is run by local volunteers. I’m glad that we funded the Teapot through the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund.”
