WREXHAM’S Nightingale House Hospice is to benefit from the proceeds of a charity ball marking 21 years of hospitality by the proprietor of a hotel.
The Best Western Cross Lanes Hotel in Marchwiel was taken over by Michael Kagan in 1987 and has since grown to be a venue for weddings, corporate events and dining out.
The charity ball at the hotel on Saturday, November 22, will raise funds for Nightingale House.
Mr Kagan said: “Tickets are now on sale for the black tie ball which promises to be a night to remember.
“Our chef has been working with RJP Food Services in Chirk to develop a special menu for the ball using local Welsh lamb.
M&J Seafoods is kindly donating fish as one of the starters.”
Guests at the ball will be treated to drinks and canapés on arrival, a four course meal plus coffee. Afterwards, local band Tobacco Road will perform followed by music to dance the night away from in-house DJ The Lanes Disco.
The Cross Lanes Hotel, which employs 30 staff, has just been awarded Investors in People status for the 12th year running.
Michael added: “The hotel has developed a reputation for supporting the local community.”
