Hoole councillors Angie Chidley and Alex Black used part of their Council Members’ budgets to make some improvements in the area.

Community notice boards have been installed outside the sub Post Office in Cedar Drive and outside the Faulkner Arms in Charles Street.

They improve community communications by adding to those already put up at Alexandra Park and The Narrows Park.

In addition there are three garden planters marked ‘Hoole’ – near to Hoole Roundabout, at the Hoole Road junction with Pipers Lane and at Ermine Road at the junction with Hoole Road.

Cllr Chidley said: “We decided to have the new items marked ‘Hoole’ in order to contribute toward promoting Hoole as the fantastic place to live, work, visit and shop that it is.”

Cllr Black added: “We would like to thank the management at the sub Post Office and the Faulkner Arms for allowing the council to install our community notice boards on their premises.

“I would also like to say thank you to the management at The Piper who have agreed to look after the nearby planter for us.”
