CHESTER pop star Louise Fudge and the rest of her Supersister band will be heading back to the city to switch on the Christmas lights this month.

They performed the same duty last year when city fans had their first chance to see the Ledsham beauty strut her stuff live as a member of the group which has now enjoyed two Top 40 hits with Coffee and Shopping.

The switching on ceremony takes place on Tuesday, November 13, in Town Hall Square and will hopefully be a double cause for celebration for Louise and her bandmates Tina Peacock and Eleanor Phillips.

The previous week will see the release of their third single, the hotly tipped power ballad Summer Gonna Come Again which the girls have their fingers crossed will provide them with their first Top 10 hit.

But Louise admitted she was particularly thrilled at the prospect of returning home for one of the big events in the Chester calendar.

'It really is something special. I cannot wait to do it,' she said.

'When we did it last year, we had only had the one single out but now I think our profile has gone up so hopefully there will be thousands of people there.

'If we have to stay until midnight we will make sure everyone gets an autograph or a hello.'

And this won't be the only switch-on date for the girls in the area they are also due to do the honours in Birkenhead and Wrexham.
