WREXHAM Football Club has a new chairman.

In a press conference at lunchtime today it was announced that Cheshire property developer Mark Guterman is now the majority shareholder in the club and has taken over the role of chairman from Pryce Griffiths.

Mr Griffiths sold his majority shareholding to Mr Guterman, a former Chester City chairman, who was was elected chairman of the Dragons at a meeting of the board of directors this morning (Tuesday).

Mr Griffiths resigned from the board and was elected life president of the club.

He said the way forward for the club was for all those people who had loyally supported him to give Mr Guterman their full support during this critical time as the club attempts to get back into the Second Division.
