Guilden Sutton Primary School goes apple pressing for Health Week

Pupils had the chance to make their own apple juice

As part of many activities held for Health Week, Guilden Sutton Primary School children made their own juice from apples they had brought in.

Former governor Jane Williams and her husband Bob organised for a traditional apple press to be brought into school.

All the children had a chance to watch the process and enjoyed tasting it. They were surprised how sweet and fresh it tasted.

Headteacher Kathy Crowe said: “It was lovely in an age of modern packaging to see how things can be produced from harvest to the cup.”
