STAFF, pupils and parents celebrated Hartford High School’s best GCSE results at a presentation evening earlier this month.

Presentations were made by chairwoman of governors Gill Chitty and Andrew Jones, principal of Sir John Deane’s College, as well as former student and Beijing Olympic silver medallist Matthew Langridge.

Headteacher Mike Holland paid tribute to the school’s leavers, telling them: “Your results were outstanding.

“You achieved well in excess of all of your academic targets and every single one of you have the college place you wanted.

“You only have one secondary school – cherish your memories.”
