CHESTER’S much-loved summer attraction, Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre has just opened its doors for a fourth season in the heart of the city.

Shakespeare’s most magical comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream opened last Friday night to packed audiences and wide acclaim.

Directed by Chester-born Alex Clifton and performed by a full size cast of some of the country’s finest actors, the play will continue in ‘rep’ alongside the swash-buckling Cyrano de Bergerac and the Shakespeare tragedy Othello until August 25.

The production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream has been kindly sponsored by Essar Oil UK and to celebrate the partnership, the Stanlow-based company are giving away family tickets to 15 lucky readers.

Ian Cotton of Essar Oil UK said: “We are once again thrilled to be part of this great summer tradition. Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre is a wonderfully unique venture and a real highlight of the cultural calendar. It’s a joy to see Chester’s park transform into the magical theatre space to be enjoyed by so many different people from across the region and beyond.”

The 15 lucky winners will each receive family tickets to the performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Sunday, August 4, at 4pm. Each family ticket offers two adults and two children free entry to the picnic theatre.
