Everybody at Manley Village School is thrilled and excited with some recent news.

Two of their Year 6 pupils have had their stories chosen to go forward to the next stage of a 500-word writing competition run by BBC Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans.

Zoe Phillips and Maisie Legg’s stories are two out of 500 that will be considered for the final prizes.

This means they have been chosen from a total submission of 118,000 stories to make it into the top 3,500.

The girls are now waiting to find out if they will make it to the final 50 due to be announced later this month.
