THE Hammond School is ‘delighted’ to report a 'very good year' for GCSE results.

Many individual students achieved outstanding results, including Jordan Li-Smith (5A*,4 A), Nicole Finneran (1 A*, 7 A) and Jack Thomson (7As) with each achieving a total of 10 GCSE passes.

These students achieved these impressive results in addition to an intensive programme of dance training.

Spokeswoman Julia Edwards said: "Overall, 89% of students achieved five or more passes at grade A*-C and we congratulate them on their success.

"Many of the students will be staying with us to join one of our post-16 courses in dance, musical theatre or drama but we wish all of our Year 11 students, whatever they are doing next, a happy and successful future career."
