A BRAVE post office worker was pushed over trying to stop a gang of robbers in Ellesmere Port.

Police are appealing for witnesses  after the post office on Overpool Road in Ellesmere Port was raided by three men on Tuesday, February 12, at about 5.25pm. 

The men tried to get into the back of the post office when a member of staff tried to block their entry but was pushed over.

The offenders then demanded money from two female members of staff and stole cash from the safe before making off.

All three victims were left unharmed but shaken by their ordeal.

The offenders are described as wearing tight, black material over their faces and dark clothing covering their body and hands.
