A COMMUNITY fundraiser delighted pupils from a special school by presenting them with two brand new iPads.

To date, Billy Birch of Ellesmere Port has raised nearly £100,000 for local worthy charities through donations from residents and businesses in his home town.

Recently he was at Asda in Ellesmere Port to present children from Dee Banks Primary School in Chester with the iPads.

Businesses including Innospec, Urenco and Cheshire police HQ in Winsford were just some of those who donated towards the cause, as well as the people of Ellesmere Port.

“I can’t thank the kind-hearted people of Ellesmere Port enough, they have been so kind to me,” said Billy.

“Someone came up to me the other day and gave me £10 - they’ve got hearts of gold.”
