ELLESMERE Port people went Pudsey mad on Friday to celebrate Children in Need.

Pupils of Cambridge Road Primary in the town were visited by the BBC charity’s bear mascot and, with a little help from Asda supermarket and Les Lyon from the Port Arcades, went fundraising.

Meanwhile, youngsters at Williams Stockton Primary were sponsored to wear spotty clothes, while their fellow pupils went on to the school pitch to play football against another school to raise more funds.

And generous Adrian Davies, who runs Davies Car Sales in Whitby Road, helped the fundraising cause by donating £100 from each car sale to the charity.

The Pioneer’s photographers were on hand to capture the bear-faced Pudsey fun.
