Reception pupils of Frodsham Manor House Primary School ushered in the Year of the Horse by partaking in a variety of Chinese New Year traditions.

Class teacher Debbie Hughes said: “They have brushed away the bad luck, painted their entrance door red, made decorations, money wallets, masks and cards and have enjoyed dressing up.

“The children have had a go at writing their name in Chinese, sang some New Year Songs, watched dragon dances, investigated the different years in which adults in the school were born and worn red to bring good luck for their own New Year’s Day party which included Chinese food . We have all had a really fun week.”
