WREXHAM manager Brian Flynn will be without three key defenders for tonight's match against Chesterfield at the Recreation Ground.

Flynn, who thought the Red Dragons had overcome their recent injury and suspension problems, has seen David Warren, Brian Carey and Shaun Holmes join the casualty list.

"That's three of the back four that played in our last league game," he said. "But we've just got to get on with it. That's all we can do."

Flynn will probably move Michael Blackwood into the left-back berth while Stephen Roberts should replace Carey in the heart of defence.

He is hoping his players can bounce back from Friday night's home defeat against high-flying Brighton.

"I thought we played very well against Brighton but a lack of concentration allowed them to score and after that they had their tails up," said Flynn, who will leave Wrexham at the end of this season after 13 years at The Racecourse.

"Chesterfield is a tough one. Everybody remember them beating us at their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup a few years ago but we've got a decent record at their ground since then.

"They've just come up from the Third Division but they weren't out of the Second for long. They know this division well. But overall I'm pleased with the way things have gone in the last few games."
