AN IT specialist has expanding its team by appointing a new head of sales.
Flintshire businessman Darren Speed has joined Llay-based MWL Systems and aims to strengthen the firm’s market position.
Darren, 43, has 20 years of experience, having spent more than a decade as business development manager with logistics giant DHL dealing with large blue chip organisations.
He also ran his own online pet shop with Gillian from their home in Llanarmon-yn-Iâl.
His remit at MWL will not only be to bring new customers on board, but also to ensure the current clients continue to get the service they have come to expect.
Darren – originally from Connah’s Quay – said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at MWL Systems and I plan to do everything within my power to take an already professional and thriving company to the next level.
“It’s a credit to the team at MWL that the company has become successful largely through word-of-mouth and referrals from current, happy clients.
“I plan to build on that platform and help speed up the expansion plans by spreading the word about what we can do for companies in the region and throughout the UK.”
He added: “We have products and services which can not only improve businesses’ productivity overnight but save them cash in the long term.
“It’s my job to make that known, as I’m sure that – particularly in these stretched times – it will be welcome news.”
