FIREFIGHTERS tackled a chip shop blaze at tea-time on Saturday.
Crews were called to Park Fish Bar in Underwood Drive, Ellesmere Port at 6.20pm.
The blaze started in the rear frying area of the premises and spread to the upstairs flat which was left ruined.
Customers and residents in the adjoining flats were evacuated but nobody was hurt.
Crews were assisted by two engines from Chester and left the scene at 11.10pm.
