BOROUGH MP Andrew Miller was “in the pink” when he supported a breast cancer charity.

He and his Parliamentary colleagues wore pink clothing and rosettes to mark the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month, in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Mr Miller said: “Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK and I am pleased to help raise awareness of this dreadful disease.

“Thousands of families are affected by this illness each year but survival rates are improving.

“The “Wear it Pink” cam- paign and Breast Cancer Awareness month are really important ways of promo- ting breast awareness and ending the suffering faced by thousands of women each year.”

He added: “The Govern- ment has made good progress on cancer treatment, saving 1,400 lives a year through the NHS breast screening programme and cutting waiting times, but we must continue to improve.”
